Assigning volumes to Storage QoS
You can limit the throughput of FlexVol volumes and monitor workload performance by assigning the volumes to Storage Quality of Service (QoS) group policies. You can enable Storage QoS for new volumes or modify Storage QoS details for volumes that are already assigned to a group policy.
About this task
•
•
You cannot enable Storage QoS for a volume if the parent Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) or child LUNs of the volume are assigned to another group policy.
•
Steps
1.
From the home page, double-click the appropriate storage system.
2.
Expand the Storage Virtual Machines hierarchy in the left navigation pane.
3.
In the navigation pane, select the SVM and click Storage > Volumes or Infinite Volumes.
4.
5.
Click Storage QoS.
6.
If you have selected multiple volumes, some of the volumes might already be assigned to a group policy. Therefore, changes that you make might affect the performance of these volumes. You can click Discard to review the list of volumes and remove the appropriate volume.
